I love to fish. It's in my blood. My Dad introduced me to fishing at the young age of four.  When our family moved to Destin, FL in 1979, we went out in the Gulf on our first 

Charter Boat the SHAMROCK. A family friend, Captain Matt Ankney, allowed me 

to help clean his Charter Boat the WAHOO when I was about twelve.  I worked with 

Capt. Matt as a Second Mate and eventually worked as a First Mate/Deckhand as a teenager.  

I served as a Deckhand on some of Destin's finest charter boats. 

I have over thirty years of professional saltwater fishing experience. I earned my first

 USCG Captain's license in 2000.  The first Charter Boat I purchased was the Aquarius III which I renamed the Reel Addiction.  I decided to sell the Reel Addiction in 2005. 

My Dad and I purchased the Charter Boat CUTTING EDGE in 2006.  

We decided to establish a new, family owned and operated corporation which we named Cutting Edge Charters Inc.  It is registered and licensed in the State of Florida. 

I am President of the family corporation. My Dad is Vice-President. 

The Charter Boat GAMBLER was added to our family business in 2015.  It was re-named the WAHOO in honor of the first vessel I worked on as a teen with Capt. Matt Ankney! 

I enjoy taking people out fishing, encouraging them, making friends and seeing them smile while the First Mate hangs a bragging Fish Board at the end of the trip. Let's go fishing!
